How to play
Gather is a pass-and-play party game collection — one phone on the table, hand it around. There are no accounts and no internet connection needed. Open the app, pick a game from the home screen, and follow the on-screen setup.
Each game has a built-in Rules page (the “How to play” link inside the game card) explaining roles, win conditions, and the flow of a round.
Frequently asked questions
I bought Gather Lifetime. How do I restore it on another device?
Sign into your other device with the same Apple ID you used to buy, then open Gather and:
- Go to Settings → Unlock Lifetime (or open any locked content).
- Tap Restore Purchases.
Your Lifetime unlock is tied to your Apple ID, not the device, so it works on every iPhone you sign into.
My Lifetime purchase didn't unlock after paying. What now?
This is almost always a temporary StoreKit hiccup. Try in order:
- Force-quit Gather (swipe up from the bottom and flick the app card up), then reopen.
- Tap Settings → Restore Purchases.
- If still locked, sign out of the App Store and back in: iOS Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → Sign Out → Sign In.
- Still nothing? Email buitienwork@gmail.com with your purchase date and approximate time, and we'll help you sort it with Apple.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all refunds for iOS purchases. Open https://reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find Gather, and request a refund. Apple's typical response is within 24–48 hours.
Why do I see ads, and can I get rid of them?
The free tier is supported by ads from Google AdMob: one home-screen banner, an interstitial roughly every 7–8 finished games (so most sessions are ad-free), and an opt-in “watch ad to unlock” video for locked content. Gather Lifetime removes every ad, forever.
How do I change the app's language?
Settings → Language inside Gather. We support English, French, Vietnamese, and Simplified Chinese. Restart not required — the change is instant.
How do I change my ad tracking choice?
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Gather Games — toggle on or off any time. With tracking off you'll still see ads, just not personalized ones.
Does Gather collect my data?
Gather has no servers and no accounts. We never see your data. Apple handles your purchase; Google AdMob serves ads in the free tier. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Once installed, Gather works completely offline. Ads need a network to fetch — if you're offline, the slots are simply hidden. Lifetime users always play without any ad fetching.
What devices does Gather support?
iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Optimised for one phone on a table; works on any iPhone from 2019 (iPhone XS / SE 2) onward.
Why does Head Guess want my orientation?
Head Guess uses the phone's tilt sensor — hold the phone to your forehead and tilt forward to mark “correct” or backward to skip. The motion permission is implicit in CoreMotion and does not require a separate prompt.
A specific game isn't behaving right. What do I do?
Take a screenshot or short screen recording, then email buitienwork@gmail.com with:
- iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
- Gather version (Settings → About at the bottom).
- A one-line description of what you expected vs. what happened.
